This agreement was reached after Barminco successfully completed the Dalgaranga underground exploration decline.
Perenti's underground mining division, Barminco, has secured a four-year contract worth approximately AUD 300 million (USD 198.3 million) to provide underground mining services for the Dalgaranga gold project in Western Australia (WA). The Dalgaranga gold project, owned by Ramelius Resources following its acquisition of Spartan Resources, is located 475 kilometers northeast of Perth and 80 kilometers northwest of Mount Magnet. The contract scope includes providing underground development, production, and related mining services. The contract also includes a one-year extension option.
Previously, Barminco successfully completed the construction of the Dalgaranga underground exploration decline, which will support production and further development. Gabrielle Iwanow, Perenti's Contract Mining President, stated: "This long-term contract validates the high-quality work completed at Dalgaranga to date. I look forward to the Barminco team continuing to provide safe and reliable production for Ramelius in the coming years." The contract also outlines approximately USD 16 million in growth capital requirements for fiscal year 2026 (FY26), which has been included in the recent financial guidance.
Mark Norwell, Managing Director and CEO of Perenti, said: "Securing the four-year underground mining contract for the Dalgaranga gold project is another strong achievement for Barminco. Several regional contracts recently won by Barminco Australia have further expanded its business scale, ultimately benefiting our clients and shareholders. The Dalgaranga project will further support our profitability and sustainable cash flow in Australia. We look forward to delivering lasting value and certainty to Ramelius and cherish this opportunity. In related developments, Barminco signed a AUD 200 million contract in June with Westgold Resources to provide underground mining services for the Great Fingall project in Western Australia. This project is expected to be a long-life, high-margin underground mine with an annual production exceeding 45,000 ounces. Its smaller scale makes it particularly suitable for contract mining operations."
