Pan American Silver announced that during exploration drilling conducted from November 2025 to January 2026, four new mineral veins were discovered at the La Colorada mine in Zacatecas, Mexico. These discoveries were made in the southeastern and eastern portions of the Candelaria district, specifically between the Cristina and San Jerónimo systems. Pan American Silver stated that these veins are associated with contact metasomatic mineralization and exhibit extensive high‑grade silver, gold, and base metal zones. The exploration campaign involved a total of 38 drill holes, with a combined drilling depth of 17,774 meters, building upon the previously released exploration results from September and December 2025.
The newly discovered ore veins Filomena, Nicolasa, Bernardina, and Josefina belong to a single structural complex that extends approximately 500 meters along strike and 500 meters in depth. The total strike length of these veins is about 2,500 meters, maintaining the northwest trend that has previously been identified between the Cristina and San Gerónimo veins. Pan American Silver is continuing intensive infill drilling and extensional drilling to further delineate and expand this mineralized zone. As of late January 2026, the new exploration crosscut at Level 588 had advanced 170 meters. In early 2026, another crosscut was excavated at Level 448 to enhance access and improve drilling coverage in the area. Key drilling results from the Filomena and Cristina vein systems include Drill Hole S-153-25, which intersected 11.60 meters grading 241 g/t silver, 0.81 g/t gold, 2.08% lead, and 4.48% zinc. Another notable result from Drill Hole S-161-25 was the interception of a 1.03-meter-thick mineralized interval with silver grades as high as 9,730 g/t, gold grades up to 6.19 g/t, lead grades reaching 2.62%, and zinc grades as high as 5.67%.
Exploratory work has also identified the Rajoña breccia as a newly delineated breccia zone within the Southeast Structural Corridor, with widths ranging from 10 to 65 meters. This area has demonstrated significant potential for hosting high‑grade silver and base metal deposits. Drilling along the northeastern extension of the Mariana Vein and the eastern extension of the NC2 Vein, located to the northeast of the mine, has extended the high‑grade mineralization zone by approximately 200 meters. These results will be incorporated into the Mineral Reserves and Resources Update Report as of June 30, 2026. Notable highlights from this area include drill hole S-147-25, which intersected a mineralized zone measuring 1.90 meters in thickness, grading 1,297 g/t silver, 0.43 g/t gold, 2.66% lead, and 8.87% zinc. Hole U-207-25 returned ore grades as high as 10,305 g/t silver, 0.66 g/t gold, 9.99% lead, and 16.00% zinc.
Christopher Emerson, Senior Vice President of Exploration and Geology at Pan American Silver, stated: “Exploration efforts at La Colorada have continued to deliver outstanding results, with at least four new high‑grade veins recently discovered in the Candelaria area in the southeast.” In September 2025, the company completed its acquisition of all outstanding and issued common shares of MAG Silver.
