Canadian mineral exploration company Daura Gold has discovered a new mineralized zone in the southwest portion of its Antonella Project in Ancash, Peru. The discovery includes a high-grade silver-gold vein located approximately 1,500 meters from the main project area. Field investigations have confirmed extensive mineralization, with the vein system trending northwest-southeast—aligning closely with Highlander Silver’s Bonita Project. The newly identified vein extends to a depth exceeding 30 meters and has already yielded high-grade silver and gold samples, containing 379 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver and 0.38 g/t of gold, as well as 346 g/t of silver and 0.46 g/t of gold.

Daura stated that the ore vein contains lead levels as high as 1.44%, with copper grades ranging from 1,174 to 1,240 grams per tonne. Daura’s team utilized a portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer to detect silver and gold in the southwestern region. While these readings are indicative, more comprehensive surface sampling will follow to confirm the findings. Mineralization in this area was identified within fracture-filling materials, suggesting a structural alignment consistent with the Bonita-Antonella vein system—indicating significant potential for further extension. Daura President Mark Sumner commented: “Daura’s mapping and sampling program has already yielded exceptionally high-grade results within Antonella’s main zone, reinforcing the company’s belief that Antonella is part of a continuous mineralized vein system that extends southeastward from the Bonita project.” He added, “The discovery of a new mineralized vein system in southwestern Antonella provides the company with another exciting exploration target within the project area.” Daura plans to expand its geological mapping and sampling efforts across the Antonella concession. These activities will include geophysical surveys employing drone-assisted magnetic measurements to better delineate the mineralized structures. The upcoming discoveries are expected to guide the definition of drilling targets for future exploration campaigns.

In July of this year, Daura secured five mineral concessions in the Ancash Province, covering an area of approximately 2,900 hectares, thereby strengthening its strategic position around the Antonella Project and adjacent to Highlander Silver’s San Luis Project. Last month, Daura obtained a permit through its subsidiary, Estrella Gold, to carry out exploration activities at the Antonella Project.
